Pick Up Pokémon Rangers: Guardian Signs and Be a Real Pokémon Master!

I’m not sure how these games keep getting made, to be honest.  But apparently they’re popular, because the Pokémon Ranger series will be releasing their third installment this fall, called Guardian Signs, for the Nintendo DS.  As I describe to you, the reader, the details of this upcoming game, I’m going to attempt to use the word “Pokémon” and its derivatives as much as I possibly can.

I’m going to be honest and say I’m a Pokémon Purist. That’s right, I only play the Pokémon games where you catch, train, level up, battle, and breed Pokémon so that I can be the Pokémon Master and catch ‘em all.  But this Pokémon article isn’t about MY Poké preferences…  No, it’s to let all of you fine Poké-loving people know that in Pokémon Rangers: Guardian Signs, you’re a Pokémon Ranger that is responsible for protecting people and Pokémon alike from “Pokémon Pinchers”, with help from your Poké-partner, Ukulele Pichu.  Not only will you Poké-partner up with Ukulele Pichu, but with other Legendary Pokémon as well!

The whole point of this Pokémon game is to befriend and capture Pokémon by circling them with your special Capture Styler on the Nintendo DS Touch Screen, so that your Poké-pals can assist you with their various unique Poké-abilities to clear Poké-obstacles that stand in your way from catching even STRONGER Pokémon!  You’re sent on Poké-missions to find missing people, stop natural Poké-disasters, and other epic Poké-things that an 11 – 13 year old can’t possibly ever accomplish in real life.  Once you complete a Poké-mission, the Poké-plot advances, and I’m sure that after twenty or so Poké-hours, you’ll be the hero of the Poké-universe.

The game will be split into various Poké-chapters that will feature various Poké-gameplay elements, focused mostly on solving Poké-puzzles with the use of your Pokémon’s Poké-abilities.  To give a Poké-example, you could probably call on the Pokémon Squirtle to help put out a fire to advance further in the Pokémon game.

Pokémon Rangers: Guardian Signs will also feature Wireless Multiplayer Missions where up to three Pokémon Rangers can join forces to solve special Poké-missions.  Starting in October, two special Poké-missions will be available for a limited Poké-time: “Protect the Blue Sphere” and “Deoxys and the Odd Temple”.  The latter special Poké-mission, once completed, will allow you to send Deoxys (a rare Pokémon that is difficult to catch in-game) to your copies of Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver (if you were a Poké-fanatic like me, you probably own at least four out of five of those Pokémon games).

Pokémon Rangers: Guardian Signs releases on October 4, 2010 in North America for the Nintendo DS. Even if you’re like me and consider yourself a Poké Purist, this Pokémon game may be worth a shot, so why not pick it up?  I probably will…  And then we can complete these special Poké-missions together!
