Play Inferno or I Will Fight You!

If Geometry Wars and Gauntlet had a baby, it would be Inferno. You might think to yourself, “Self, why didn’t I think of this?” and the answer is simple: Because it’s simply not worth it. It’s got a very cyberpunk feel to it (like Geometry Wars) and has keys and stages (like Gauntlet). Sure, the game’s only a dollar. Sure, I could see how someone could get addicted to it for the two hours it offers, but it’s no Pixeljunk Shooter.
Will I continue to play it? Probably, but that’s only because I’m the kind of person who will play a game just because I bought it. I haven’t gotten to play the multiplayer yet, but I’m sure that’s going to add a level of frustration that I’m just not prepared to put up with… Until I find someone to play with.
What is this game really missing? A super-sweet drunken soundtrack consisting of one song, begging you to buy the game you’re currently playing… “It’s only a dollllaaarrr and I hope you will plaaay it!”
